Tricolor dessert is the dessert which is made up of milk. The name itself says that it’s a colorful dessert made up of three colors. They are so many milk desserts like Rabdi, Basundi, Doodh peda, etc and this is one of them. Moreover, this is a very colorful and healthy recipe. Because less sugar and peas, carrots and nuts are added in this recipe. This is a special recipe for independence day. Only natural color from vegetables is used for this preparation.

How to make a Tricolor Dessert Recipe:

To make this recipe firstly, simmer the milk on the low flame after adding fresh cream, ghee, and sugar. After that add, green peas paste and cook until if make a thick paste and keep it aside in a bowl. Again simmer the milk with sugar and fresh cream and then add coconut paste, cardamom powder, chopped nuts to the milk. When it becomes thick, then keep it separately in a bowl. After that simmer the milk again and add sliced cashews, almonds and carrot paste to the milk and cook it until it makes a thick paste. Finally, take a glass and add green mixture at the bottom. After that add the coconut mixture and on the top of that add carrot mixture. finally, serve it with a cherry on the top.

Milk: Milk is the base ingredient of this recipe. Simmer the milk on the medium to low flame until it thickens. Full cream milk adds extra taste to this recipe. Above all, use a thick bottomed pan for simmering the milk and stir the milk occasionally or else it will stick to the bottom. Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 3 cups milk
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 6 tbsp fresh cream
  • 3 tbsp green peas paste
  • 3 tbsp coconut paste
  • 1 tbsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp sliced cashew nuts
  • 2 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 3 tbsp carrot paste
  • 3 shots glass
  • 3 cherries

Instructions

Pre preparation

  • Boil the green peas and make a fine paste of green peas and keep it aside. can use fresh peas or frozen green peas.
  • Grind the coconut and make coconut paste and keep separately in a bowl.
  • Make a fine paste of carrots and keep it aside in a bowl.
  • chop the almonds and cashews. Make cardamom powder or else can use store-bought powder.

Preparation:

    preparation of green layer

    • Heat the ghee in a pan and add ghee to the pan. When it melted add milk to the pan.after that boil the milk on the medium flame.
    • When the milk comes to the boil add sugar and fresh cream. stir continuously. or else the milk will stick to the bottom.
    • When the milk is reduced to half add green peas paste and mix well so that they won't be any lumps.
    • Stir occasionally until it forms a thick paste. Then take it in a bowl and keep it aside and let it cool down.
    • Once it cools down to fill this mixture in an icing bag.

    Preparation of white layer

    • Heat the ghee in a thick bottomed pan and milk. Boil the milk on the medium flame.
    • After that add sugar and fresh cream to the milk and stir well. Stir continuously until it gets thickens.
    • Then add coconut paste to the milk. Mix well, so that they won't be any lumps. After the coconut cooked add cardamom powder and mix well.
    • When it came to a boil add chopped almonds and cashews. Stir occasionally until it makes a thick paste.
    • finally, take it a bowl and keep it aside and let it cool down.
    • Once the mixture cools down to fill this mixture in an icing bag.

    Preparation of orange layer:

    • Heat the ghee in a thick bottomed pan and milk. Boil the milk on the medium flame
    • After that add sugar and fresh cream to the milk and stir well. Stir continuously until it gets thickens.
    • Then add chopped cashews and almonds and stir well. After that add carrot paste and mix well.
    • stir continuously until it makes a thick paste. After that take it in a bowl and let it cool down.
    • Once the mixture cools down to fill this mixture in an icing bag and then keep it aside.

    Preparation of Tricolor dessert

    • Take a shorts glass and fill the bottom with the green layer first, after that add the white layer on the top of the green layer and orange layer on the top of the green layer. Garnish with a cherry and serve.
    • Repeat the same process for the other glasses also.
