Ingredients

Ingredients for covering

  • 1 cup Atta/ Wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • water as required
  • 1 tbsp oil

Ingredients for stuffing

  • 3/4 cup sattu
  • 2 tbsp onions
  • 1 tbsp green chilis add according to your taste
  • 2 tbsp garlic
  • 2 tbsp ginger
  • 3 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp kalonji
  • 1 tsp ajwain
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt adjust according to your taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp pickle( any pickle available for you)

Ingredients for dipping

  • 1 brinjal
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 potato
  • 2 tbsp onion
  • 1 tbsp green chillis
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp salt adjust according to your taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

Pre preparation:

  • Take a mixing bowl and add atta to the bowl. Then add salt, oil to the atta and mix well. Add water slowly and knead a dough. The dough should be a little hard than a Chapathi dough. Now cover the dough and rest for 20 mins.
  • Chop the onions, garlic, green chilis, ginger, coriander leaves and keep them aside.

Preparation for stuffing:

  • Take a bowl and add Sattu to the bowl. Then add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, green chilis, coriander leaves, ajwain, kalonji, lemon juice , salt, Pickle, and oil. Now mix the all ingredients really well. Can add little water or oil for the correct consistency.

Making of Litti:

  • Take the atta dough and make equal balls with the atta.
  • Now make the cup with atta or roll it as a circle. now fill it with stuffing and get the edges together.
  • Repeat the same process for other Litti also.
  • Now heat the oil on the medium flame and drop the stuffed dough balls in the oil and deep fry them on the medium flame.
  • Both the sides of the Litti should be in brown color. Can bake these Litti in preheated oven for 20 to 25 mins.
  • Take them out and apply ghee and turn them to the other side and bake again for 10 mins or until they are done.

preparation of chokha:

  • firstly, take an eggplant and tomato, roast them on the high flame directly.
  • Now take a potato and boil the potato in the pressure cooker.
  • Now peel the skin of the eggplant, tomato, potato and mash them with a fork or potato masher.
  • After that add chopped onions, green chilis, garlic, coriander leaves, salt, and oil. now mix them together.
  • Now serve the hot Litti with Chokha.
